Aphids are responsible for the sticky dew that you find on your car or patio furniture during hot summer months. Aphids mainly target Roses, though other plants and trees are also susceptible. When aphid populations get out of control, they can suck the life out of your trees making them look stressed and unhealthy. Customers mainly complain of the sticky excretion they produce when feeding on the plants. This is called honeydew. Honeydew often attracts ants. Ants enjoy the honeydew so much they will actually protect aphids from predators or move them onto new plants.

Fortunately, aphids are easy to control using one of several different methods. Methods include spray options, systemic treatments through Wedgle injections, or organic applications made of blends of several oils. All these methods are effective and used depending on a customer’s preference or environmental factors.
