Tree Moss

The control of mosses for trees and shrubs is usually achieved by applying copper sulfate or lime sulfur. These effectively kill the moss when the moss is treated during its dormant period.

Copper sulfate works by disrupting photosynthesis in the moss. Lime sulfur is a fungicide and is very effective at controlling moss during the winter months when mosses are growing and the trees and shrubs are dormant.

We use sprayers to apply these products and take care to not expose other landscape elements during application.

Once the moss has been removed, you can address the landscape by performing additional pruning, tree removal, or debris clearing to control the moisture, airflow, and shade in your yard.
