Root Weevil Damage Root Weevil Damage

Root Weevil:
Known to be the largest pest to ornamental plants in the northwest, the root weevil larvae will hold up in the soil feeding on the roots of plants until late spring when the adults begin to emerge.  Although the adult root weevil does most of the aesthetic damage, the larvae do damage to the health of the plant by feeding on the root and root crowns.

Root Feeding: Root feeding addresses the most important and the most commonly over looked part of your trees and shrubs. A healthy root system will help your trees and shrubs grow stronger and fuller. Neglecting to feed the root system of your trees and shrubs can result in disease, insect infestation, and other stresses that may cause your plants' health to suffer. Having Glass Tree Care make two applications per year to your trees and shrubs will result in year round vigor.

Spider Mites Spider Mites Spider Mites

Spider Mite Control: Spider mites are not insects, but more closely related to spiders. Most species of mites are plant feeders that will suck on the leaves of your ornamental plants causing speckles on the leaves, or a brownish-yellow tint to the infested area. Control can be offered using miticides, or natural oils on a repeated basis.

Systemic Insect Control: Systemic treatments are applications that are applied to the base of a tree or plant, absorbed into the root system, and carried throughout the plant to where a pest will feed and then die from ingesting the absorbed material. Systemic treatments are a very effective, long lasting knockdown for unwanted pests without having to spray the entire tree.

Pruning: Pruning is necessary to maintain the health and quality of the trees and shrubs in your landscape. Pruning removes dead, diseased, or injured branches, thus improving the aesthetics, safety, and health of your tree. Glass Tree Care can handle any size job including tree, and stump removal.
